Multi-awarding winning Business Owner Cathy McLeod has become only the second Australian to be inducted into the prestigious Harcourts Hall of Fame at the recent 2007-2008 black tie Awards Dinner.
The Hall of Fame was launched in 2000 to immortalise those outstanding individuals who have made a significant contribution to the success, growth and quality of the Harcourts brand.
As Business Owner of Harcourts Bulimba, Harcourts Carina and Blue Property Management, Ms McLeod is widely known and respected throughout Harcourts and the real estate community for running some of the finest and most successful real estate businesses in Brisbane.
According to Mr Mike Green, Managing Director of Harcourts International, there is no part of the business she hasn’t crafted to perfection.
“From the talented individuals who make up her successful team and the visual impact of her magnificent office premises, to the client feedback on the difference her service ethic makes; this all sets her apart,” Mr Green said.
“That commitment has seen her become one of our most consistently successful business owners, with her team proudly taking home awards in almost every category we have.”
Initially joining an office as a Personal Assistant back in 1998, Ms McLeod's shy quietly-spoken façade hid a determined personality. With her background as a qualified teacher working with sight-impaired children, she knew what it meant to work hard and overcome obstacles to achieve dreams.
According to Mr Green, when she launched her first office in 2003, Ms McLeod knew being a Harcourts Business Owner was so much more than just a title. It was a mantle of responsibility she was determined would mean something significant to her team, her clients and the Harcourts brand.
“Her high expectations become the expectations of those around her. It’s not complicated; it’s just doing it right. With her purity of approach to all things Harcourts, she lives and breathes The Harcourts Way,” Mr Green added.
“Right from the start, not a day has gone by that she hasn’t contributed to Harcourts in some way. Some days, it’s helping an individual reach a significant milestone, other days it’s helping Harcourts achieve a crucial step in our quest for global success.”
Cathy McLeod is only the 11th person in Australasia to be inducted into the Harcourts Hall of Fame.
